STELLA MCCARTNEY
Kudos to Karl Lagerfeld again and again. Not only for his own story and designs, but also for his great enforcement in 1997, familiarizing Stella McCartney in the fashion world. The young daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney became chief designer for the Paris fashion house Chloé at the age of twenty-five and soon catapulted the label to its former position: in the league of the most coveted brands. It didn't take long and McCartney decided to found her own label in 2001, cooperating with Gucci. Vegan fashion? No leather, no fur? What sounds like an incompatible mixture, is indeed, the main idea behind Stella McCartney designs. With all her talent and, more importantly, a virtuoso style of her own, she creates a new look of feminine neo-romanticism and urbane functional modernity. Typical elements: flowing fabrics, pastel shades, lace and sweet puffed sleeves, slightly masculine cuts and perfect tailoring. With every new collection, McCartney liberates herself a bit more from the image of "the Beatles' daughter" to a famous brand.
